CanSkate

The CanSkate program is for skaters who have completed the Pre-CanSkate program and is beneficial for any skater with an interest in ice sports (hockey, ringette, figure skating or speed skating).

Participants are placed in groups according to ability and earn badges while they learn fundamental skating skills. The CanSkate program emphasizes fun and continuous movement and is taught in a group lesson format.CanSkate-EN-logo

What happens on the first day?  Please arrive with ample time to get your child ready.  When you arrive, pick up your name badge and look on the rink screen in the lobby to see what dressing room has been assigned for your class.  When you skater is ready, please do not go onto the ice until a coach has opened the rink door (this applies to all future classes as well).  The first day can look quite hectic. There can be some switching of group and adjustments to ensure all skaters are in appropriate groups according to skill level.
