Junior STARSkate

Skaters must have completed CANSkate Level 5 to enter the Junior STARSkate program.  This program is group taught and is the entry-level program for Skate Canada’s test stream.

Focus is on the introduction of Pre-Preliminary tests (currently a pilot program), and the Preliminary dance test. Skaters will train in skills, suppleness, speed, strength and stamina. The program includes group-based lessons two times per week and one additional group/semi-private session on Wednesdays is recommended.

In addition, the regular season program offers one-15 minute and one 30-minute stroking/edge class per week plus one-30 minute dry land class and the option (recommended) of 1 hour per week of yoga/pilates/dance alternating weekly.

See Schedule & Pricing for more information.
