We are very proud of our Cochrane Skating Club coaches who are dedicated, loyal and committed to individual development and life skills to help each skater realize his or her personal best…on or off the ice!

With a wealth of combined professional experience and as seasoned and successful skaters in their own right, they have the breadth of knowledge to take skaters from Learn to Skate to gold tests and competitive skating.

All Skate Canada coaches are trained and certified through Skate Canada’s National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). Our professional coaches work hard to provide skaters of all ages and stages with a fun, safe and high quality skating experience.

Coaches work with skaters and are assisted by Program Assistants who are trained on ensuring the safety of the program and it is always top of mind.

The Cochrane Skating Club is a non-profit organization sanctioned by Skate Canada and has been organizing skating programs for the Cochrane Community and surrounding community for over 40 years. Our club is run through the efforts of volunteers and certified coaches who dedicate much energy and time to ensure high quality programs are available for all levels and ages. We offer skating lessons in group or private format taught by professionally qualified coaches. Our season runs from the beginning of September until the end of April at the Cochrane Original Arena (by the tri-schools).

The Cochrane Skating Club continues to provide excellent coaching, skating and activities through the skating season. Skaters experience the joy of skating, the challenges of learning and demonstrating new skills and benefit from the terrific fitness opportunity it provides and as an added bonus our skaters develop amazing relationships in the community and life-long friendships.
