The Cochrane Skating Club is a non-profit organization. In order to help keep the costs of programs as low as possible for all families, the club conducts various fundraising activities in a given year.
The club requires a fundraising bond of $200 for each Advanced CanSkate and StarSkate for the season to be paid upon registration at the beginning of a season. Parents can then optionally participate in skater account fundraising activities that the club holds.
Money from fundraising is applied to skater accounts, it is not paid out in cash per club policies.
Club fundraisers such as bottle drives, ticket sales etc. are also held and are mandatory for all Advanced CanSkate and CanSkate Parents and the proceeds from these fundraisers go toward the club (not individual skater accounts).
