Senior StarSkate       

  

 

Senior StarSkate programs provides the most flexibility and ice time availability. Skaters are strongly encouraged to skate a minimum of three on-ice sessions per week, and will be working from STAR 4 through the Gold test and competition levels in all disciplines. Skaters entering Podium Pathway will also train on these sessions.

Skaters are coached in a private or semi-private lesson format and will choose a primary coach for their season. All off-ice programming and a minimum of one stroking/edge class per week is mandatory at this level.  All coaching fees are billed directly

2025 Summer Session Intermediate and Seniors: 

Keep the skills sharp this summer with a weekly Intermediate and Senior on ice and off ice class. Note that class times change depending on day. They will be all held at Spray Lakes. 

  • July 2, 5:15-6:15pm
  • July 9, 5:15-6:15pm
  • July 16, 6:15-7:15pm
  • July 23, 5:15-6:15pm
  • July 30, 4:15-5:15pm
  • Aug 6, 4:15-5:15pm
  • Aug 13, 5:15-6:15pm
  • Aug 20, 3:45-4:45pm - no off ice 

Fees:

  • $150 for eight on ice and 7 off ice sessions (45 minutes off ice following the class) 
  • Coaching fees are extra and will be billed directly by the coach.
  • Drop in fee of $20 for each on ice and $7.50 off ice applies if not registering for the full session 
  • Please register for the full session or pick which on ice and off ice sessions you wish to register for separately by adding to your cart.    

 This program is for Cochrane Skating Club Members only.

Please check your account calendar/dashboard for your skater's specific program and non-skating dates. Reminder that program time shifts when CanSkate is in session.  

  • Mondays:  
    • All StarSkate Levels (Coaching Fees Extra) 6:45 to 7:45 AM 
    • All StarSkate Levels Flex (Coaching Fees Extra) with Start Time at:  4:00 to 5:00 PM OR 4:15 to 5:15 PM OR 4:30 to 5:30 PM OR 4:45 to 5:45 PM** includes 15 minutes of edge/stroking from 4:45 to 5:00 PM
      • Additional 15 minutes of ice time can be purchased for Monday PM after purchasing 1 hour program (if a skater wishes to skate for 30 or 45 minutes longer on Mondays for the season contact office@cochraneskatingclub.ca).
  • Tuesdays: 
    • Senior Ice (Coaching Fees Extra) from 6:15 to 7:15 PM. CHANGES to 7:15 - 8:15 PM when CanSkate in session 
    • Senior Off Ice 6:30 to 7:00 PM.  **Tues Off Ice only runs when CanSkate is in session 
  • Wednesdays:
    • All StarSkate Levels Edge, Spin & Turn  5:00 to 5:45 PM
    • All StarSkate Levels Jump Technique and Fitness 5:50 to 6:30 PM  
  • Thursdays: 
    • Senior Ice (Coaching Fees Extra) from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.  CHANGES to 6:00 to 7:00 PM when CanSkate in session 
  • Fridays:
    • Intermediate and Senior Edge and Stroking Class from 6:30 to 7:00 AM 
    • All StarSkate Levels Ice (Coaching Fees Extra) from 7:00 to 8:00 AM  
  • Saturdays: 
    • ALL StarSkate Levels (Coaching Fees Extra) 10:00 to 11:00 AM Note: Time Changes to 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am when CanSkate is NOT session 

Program Assistant Clinic (Mandatory): Dates TBD--  10 AM to 1:00 PM 

 2026 Spring Season:

  • Monday 4:15 to 5:15 PM
  • Wednesday  4:15 to 5:15 PM
  • Friday  6:30 to 8:00 a.m.
